Premium-grade synthetic turf installed by us is rated for 15 to 25 years of normal residential use. We use UV-stabilized fibers and proper drainage substrate — cheap turf with weak UV protection fades in 2 to 3 years under SoCal sun. Our installs carry a 10-year warranty.
Yes. We use non-toxic, lead-free, pet-rated turf with antimicrobial backing and cool-blend infill so it doesn’t get scorching hot in direct sun. We also install proper sub-base drainage so urine flushes through rather than pooling. Many of our San Diego turf installs are dog yards.
Standard turf can run 40 to 60 degrees hotter than the air on a sunny August afternoon. We solve this two ways: cool-blend turf with reflective fiber tech, and cool-blend infill (silica or coated sand). Customers walk barefoot on our installs in summer.
We always install over a properly prepared sub-base — never directly over existing lawn or dirt. We excavate, install drainage layer, compact aggregate base, then lay turf with seam tape and stainless nails. On concrete patios we use a different prep with proper drainage and adhesive.
